A "Farmer" by Marriage

David Funk, ZEN's President, is a "farmer" by marriage. His marriage into a 6th generation family farm allows him to deploy his energy expertise focused on continued improvement and land stewardship.

His 15+ years in utility & commercial solar, battery storage, and electric vehicles allowed him to take a leadership role in accessing energy grants for rural businesses and farmers.

Since ZEN's formation in 2023, the company has been instrumental in applying for more than $3M in REAP grants and has been awarded $1.4M in grant funding on behalf of ZEN's clients.

ZEN has a100% success rate of awarded grants.

ZEN projects will save rural counties in Washington and Idaho $4.5M (and counting) over 30 years, which will be reinvested in those local communities.
